Recorded over last winter’s lockdown in Berlin, the Make Dub version of Copertone is inspired by Novo Line’s inventive approach to midi and unorthodox sampling techniques.

After many hours in the studio and few different versions created, the track became a slow-burner combination of acid synth lines, twisted live percussions and overdubs, all buckling together on the A-side of the EP, slow and steady as it goes.

Imagine an Ensoniq Fizmo sequencing the hell acid out of a MS-404, drums kissed by a 60’s Italian preamplifier, then add stolen recordings of friends hanging out in the studio during the cold winter days in the German capital, and that’s what this track is all about.

A lo-fier “Drug-Chug” track, as Andy W. would maybe describe it, that would kick the ecstasy up the spine if it’d be Sunday morning 3AM down the Cosmic Hole.
